Ladies' Padded Genuine Leather Watchband Black 11mm Watchband Review

The watchband itself is fine as a black leather 11 mm band, however, I have switched out the band on my watch over 10 times over many years and this is the first band that doesn't include the metal attachment with the band. This didn't seem to be a problem when I realized I could just use the attachment in the old band, however, the hole needed for the metal attachment that usually comes with a band wasn't there on the new band.

Bottom line is that I had to return this band, since I couldn't attach it to my old watch.

Tired of leather straps that quickly start to look shabby, I decided to try this to replace the leather strap of a Timex women's easy reader. Was not sure at first whether it would fit (description says "Compatible with Timex dress models") so I called Amazon to check. Was told that as long as the width of the leather strap, at the wide end that joins the watch, is no less than 11 mm, and no more than 14 mm, this little beauty should fit. And so it does. And my grungy looking watch gets a new lease on life.

PS Put the new strap on in a tick with a simple and incredibly cheap watch tool -- also from Amazon.

I'm petite, have a small wrist, so prefer to continue wearing a small watch and watchband. Even though I live in a large metropolitan area (over 5 million people), none of the local jewelers seem to carry smaller replacement watchbands.

Needless to say, I was delighted to find that Amazon was one of the few places I could find an 8 mm replacement watchband.

The watchband is exactly as advertised, and looks nice on my watch. I deducted one star because it's a bit of a hassle to get the tiny pins anchored in the holes of the watch.

I've also ordered a second replacement watchband so when this one wears out (I wear the watch every day, so I know it will eventually need replacing), I have a replacement on hand.

I bought this is a replacement for my old non-Timex watch (13 mm size is difficult to find). Just as the other reviewer noted, it's definitely not top of the line leather, but still a decent quality for the price. But either Timex watch is much bigger than mine or this is meant for very thin wrists - I can hardly fasten this band. My size overall and my wrists are just average but this band is almost an inch shorter than my 2 previous bands. The piece with the buckle is 65 mm (leather part) and the other piece is 106 mm. Unless you have very skinny wrists you might want to measure before buying.

The contrast between the darkest and lightest tone is a bit bigger than appears on the picture (could be just my monitor), but overall it looks good.
