If one spring bar breaks, the remaining spring bar will hold the strap and your watch to your wrist. Great safety feature if you are active. Brushed, stainless-steel buckle and keeper rings. I have a small..almost child size wrist. Finding a watch band to fit is very hard. This one is just right. Fits around the wrist without all that strap hanging over. True to 12mm size.

About a month ago I noticed that the bonded grain was unbonding. Underneath the cowhide was cracking. I am not abusive with my watches, rarely getting them wet, and always removing them when showering. I can't imagine this product holding up under a childs abuse. I only had it 6 months when it started to fall apart. As hard as it was for me to find a watch band that fit, I am disappointed and have downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 1 as a result. I gave it a 1 for fitting my wrist.
